Friends of the West Florida Public Library Special Summer MULTI MEDIA Sale
Pensacola, FL — The plans for the Friends of the West Florida Public Library’s Special Summer Sale, have been updated to include MORE SHOPPING OPTIONS!
The Multimedia Sale is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Downtown Library, located at 239 N. Spring Street, Pensacola, FL 32502. Admission is free.
This one-day-only event WILL ALSO FEATURE vinyl and audio books in addition to thousands of CDs, DVDs, and puzzles, all at great prices. The music selection includes a wide variety of genres, while the DVD collection spans dramas, comedies, thrillers, documentaries, and plenty of family-friendly options.
The single disk CDs, single title DVDs and many puzzles will start at $2.00 each. Due to public demand, there will be areas for vinyl, audio books, as well as CD and DVD sets, and larger puzzles. The items in these areas will be individually priced.

The Friends’ next Big Book Sale will be held the last weekend in September. So, if you need a book for your summer reading, or for a gift, stop by one of the Friends’ Book Stores! They are in the Downtown Branch on Spring Street, the Tryon Branch and the Bellview Branch.

Fall into a great book! It is time again to break out a sweater, grab a hot cider or pumpkin latte, get cozy and read! Team up and start a book club! Start a new series or get caught up on an old favorite! Check out new places in a travel book and plan your next vacation. Maybe, you would like a few DVDs to pop in and enjoy with some popcorn!
Come by the Friends of the West Florida Public Library’s Fall Book Sale where for a few dollars, you can start a new literary adventure! Books will be sorted by genre to make it easier to find your favorites!
FALL BREAK IS COMING! If you have children, our bookstores and book sales are a great way to let them pick out a few books to explore and own! We even have some board books for the youngest “readers” in your family, so they can “read” their books while you read yours!
The sale will be held at the downtown library, located at 239 N. Spring Street. Debit & Credit Cards accepted. As always, your contributions will support library programs and services.
Sept. 24th – Tables are set up in the afternoon.
Sept. 25th – Books are delivered to the library by members, warehouse staff and additional volunteers to be set up by genre for the sale.
Sept. 26th – Sale Opens at 3:00 PM, closes at 7:00 PM
Admission is Free for Friends’ Members. (Please go to our Membership page for more information about how to become a Member!)
$5.00 Admission for all other shoppers.
Sept. 27th – 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Admission is Free for all shoppers!
Sept. 28th – 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM -$7.00 for a bag that you fill with books!
Then volunteers clean up and pack up!

ANNUAL MEMBERS' MEETING in 2025

Additional 2025 Event – Annual Meeting
The Friends of the West Florida Public Library hold an Annual Meeting in the Fall to report the annual accomplishments to the general membership. Topics cover a financial report of money raised in the sales and the stores, capital improvements to the Friends’ warehouse, and the Library Director gives a report on the library’s year. The new slate of officers is voted on and the Friends make a financial presentation to the Library Director.
The date, time and location for the 2025 Members’ Meeting are TBA.
