Author Tim Dorsey to speak at downtown library September 28

Posted By :

Bestselling author Tim Dorsey will be at the Pensacola Public Library, 239 N. Spring St., at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 28 to talk about his books and writing and to sign books.

Mystery / thriller writer Dorsey will regale with tales of his trademark character Serge Storms, loveable serial killer, expert scholar of all things Floridian and star of 17 novels. The latest in the series, Tiger Shrimp Tango, published in January of this year, has Serge partnering with his pal Coleman to rescue a young woman. What he doesn’t know is that a hit man from his past is also tracking him. What ensues is a hilariously riotous road trip to do right, packed with seafood, mayhem, blood, Coleman’s deep thoughts, Floridian lore, and more.

Dorsey was a reporter and editor for the Tampa Tribune from 1987 to 1999. He currently lives in Tampa and is well known for his series of Florida crime capers written in a style reminiscent of Dave Barry and Carl Hiaasen.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 850-436-5060.
